Villa Brandolini D'Adda a Solighetto

Percorso:
The present building dates to the XVIII century and in its moderate linearity, it is typical of the Venetian style of that period. The villa is constituted by a central body, used to house the Patrician family, by the stable, by the annexes (kitchens, laundries, lodging for the servitude, shops, and barns) by the conservatories and by a small oratory dedicated to Saint Gaetano and Saint Theresa. The interior of the villa is decorated with very fine stucco in Venetian style, little following the construction of the building that reproduce abstract decorations, landscapes and portraits of important people framed in lockets. During the two World Wars, the villa underwent heavy devastation and was deprived of valuable furnishings; artillery also devastated the park. The painter Emilio Fontana of Solighetto made the decorative restoration in the first post war period. Today, the villa is communal property and the office of art and culture exhibitions, it also houses the Museum dedicated to the soprano Toti dal Monte, the Consortium of "Tutela del Prosecco Conegliano" and Valdobbiadene, the Francesco Fabbri Foundation, the Musical Institute Toti dal Monte and the L.A.R.A University laboratory of research.
