Castellarium Portus Buvoledi is an ancient city appearing between the XIII and XIV centuries protected by a boundary walled and  consisting of seven towers. It was a fully-fledged castle, defended by a powerful wall, as testify the frescoes represented on the walls of Da Camino Gaia House. The powerful and millenary tower used to be called the prison, the only one that withstood the destruction of the fortified castle although it underwent some modification throughout time; it consists of a fully-fledged effigy of the past splendour of this city. In the interior of the ancient area surrounded by the wall, one can admire the following colonnaded buildings; Vittorio Emanuele II Square (presently Maggiore Square), the Loggia, the Fondaco and Torresin towers, Porta Friuli, Pietà Mount Palace and the Cathedral (at one time a Hebrew synagogue), Da Camino Gaia House and Beccaro Square. To the exterior, even though it is not of lesser importance, one can appreciate Saint Rocco Church, Saint Theresa Oratory, Justinian Palace and the Servants Church.
