Chiesa di San Nicolò

Chiesa di San Nicolò

The church was originally situated close to the port (ex Borgo Piave) in the present San Nicolò square, and in the beginning was a foresters and rafters capital. In 1609 it became an oratory and in 1851 was renovated and enlarged with a tower and a clock by the town hall. Destroyed during the Great War, the present-day San Nicolò church was reconstructed in this place, according to the project of Engineer Pillon, at the end of the first World conflict. Inside the church, you can admire the Madonnina Blu statue, patron of "Ragazzi del '99".
