Its the most primitive and most ancient church not only from Godego, but of a vast territory including Castelfranco Veneto. It was desired and erected by Saint Prosdocimo, the first bishop of Padova. The saint came through the roman Aurelia and Postumia roads to evangelize to the inhabited place. It is of a small dimension (17.65 x 7.23m); a rectangular layout finished with a semihexagonal apse, roof with 2 droopings with a small bell-tower on the top of the face summit. It is an early Christian building, a lengthwise layout, with a trussed roof. There are two engraved stone crosses from the 7th century, decorated on the outside of the church. In 1747 , inside the building, in the altar's revenue a lead box was recovered containing dust relics and an engraved cross with a gothic inscription and the date 719 . Two precious earrings were found in the Sacello area between the 9th and the beginning of the 11th century in deposit at the Antiquarium di Villa Priuli.
